Saint John of God Kerry Services held a Rights Awareness Workshop

Saint John of God Kerry Services held a Rights Awareness Workshop

In August, Saint John of God Kerry Services held a Rights Awareness Workshop. It was a fantastic occasion and a large crowd attended. The aim of the workshop was to raise awareness in relation to our rights as human beings and our entitlement to live lives of equality and respect regardless of who we are and where we come from.

Guest speaker Ms. Maria Walsh M.E.P. attended and we are very grateful to her for taking the time to visit. The Rose of Tralee Festival Committee was very supportive and we are grateful to them for their co-operation, in particular the four Rose of Tralee finalists and their escorts who also attended. Ms. Áine O’Sullivan from Disability Federation Ireland contributed and a big thank you to her and all who attended for taking time out of your busy schedules to support us. The morning was a huge success, it was the first such event here in Kerry Services and I hope it will not be the last. Many thanks to everybody involved in organising and supporting the event.
